Crate To Plate is a hydroponics and vertical farming business in the UK and expanding to other markets. EFFV holds an 8% equity stake in Crate to Plate. Company launched in Q1 2019, a start-up growing leafy greens across urban centers, utilizing closed container, vertical farming technology /LED technology—no pesticides, no chemicals, no herbicides—with the view to build scale across the U.K. The first three containers arrived in January 2020 in London, with additional containers expected in 2021 to be deployed in various urban locations in partnership with major real estate groups.
