Maximilian von Poelnitz

Max is an investor, entrepreneur, and a start up mentor.  Following a business degree at INSEAD, he started his first e-commerce business in 2011.  He spent 10 years building four businesses with the last being funded by both the Alibaba Entrepreneur fund and ultimately Delivery Hero, a German publicly traded institutional investor.  

 

By 2019, Max started New Territory Ventures investing alongside an early UBER executive in supply chain start-ups deploying capital across the US, Germany, and Mexico.   More recently, Max was an Investment Director with DSM Venturing focused on food tech, women's health, and personalized nutrition start-ups.  He has sat on multiple boards and continues to see his work in venture capital as the ultimate learning experience. 

 

Max is passionate about food tech and innovative business models, especially in the B2B space.  He has been featured on CNN, CNBC, and Forbes.  He is a mentor through Loyal VC, Plug and Play, and Founder's Institute.  In his time off, he enjoys golf, Italian cooking, and having a glass of wine with friends.
